Multi-Choir Playing Day 2019

Conducted by Helen Hooker and Steve Marshall

Saturday 2nd March 2019, 10:30am – 4:30pm (refreshments served from 10:00am)

IMPORTANT: LATE CHANGE OF VENUE! Following a double booking by the original venue, we have moved to…

Woolmer Green Village Hall, Hall Lane, Woolmer Green, Herts  SG3 6XA.  Woolmer Green is about 4 miles south of Stevenage.

Helen and Steve are both very fond of multi-choir music, and have a large repertoire of multi-choir pieces, from several centuries, which they are just itching to share with you.

We have chosen the date rather cunningly, because not only have we been quite unable to find any other recorder-based event within 100 miles with which it clashes, but the following day there is a meeting at the same venue of the Mellow Tones Recorder Orchestra – Helen Hooker’s remarkable eight-foot orchestra. If you would like to find out more about that, here is a useful link.

The multi-choir day is aimed at SRP players, but anyone of moderate playing standard is very welcome. Much of the music includes parts for big basses. But there are some that do not, so players of big basses (who are most welcome of course) will need to bring something smaller as well.

All music is provided, and there is plenty of parking space at the venue. All you need is a packed lunch, your recorders and a music stand. Attendance at the day costs £12, including tea, coffee and biscuits.

You can send us a cheque (payable to Ann Marshall), accompanied by the booking form, which is here…Aston Multichoir (March 2019) Info and Booking Form…or you can book and pay online, using the form at the foot of this page.
